Opened in 2024, we have quickly established an excellent reputation for providing an exceptional standard of primary veterinary care. Our clients travel from across Melbourne to access our services, reflecting the trust they place in our team and the quality of care we provide.
Our facilities are genuinely unique for a general practice, with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities. We are also co-located with an independent 24/7 emergency and critical care business and work with mobile specialist surgeons.
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the next stage of our growth.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinary nurse who enjoys both clinical nursing and leadership.
You will lead the nursing team while remaining actively involved in clinical shifts. Working closely with the Practice Manager and HR Consultant, you will play an important role in developing our team, maintaining high clinical standards, improving operations and delivering an exceptional experience for our patients and clients.
The successful candidate will be an integral member of our core leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, support and direction to the nursing team.
- Lead by example while continuing to work clinical nursing shifts.
- Assist with the day-to-day management and operation of the hospital.
- Foster a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture.
- Mentor and develop veterinary nurses at all levels.
- Share your clinical knowledge and experience with the team.
- Manage nursing rosters and staffing requirements.
- Work closely with the Practice Manager and HR Consultant on staff development and performance.
- Contribute to delivering an exceptional client experience.

About You
We are looking for someone who combines strong clinical nursing skills with genuine leadership ability.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for general practice veterinary nursing and excellent patient care.
- At least 5 years' experience as a veterinary nurse or veterinary technician, with a Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing, Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.
- Strong clinical acumen and confidence sharing knowledge with others.
- A positive, proactive and can-do attitude.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a genuine commitment to supporting a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Confidence and proficiency using EzyVet.
- A passion for mentoring and developing junior nurses.
