Tullamarine Animal Hospital is an independent, family-owned small animal practice in Melbourne’s north-west. Established by veterinarians Dr Cam Cooper and Dr Pam Gillis, the hospital has grown to include a team of vets, veterinary nurses and practice managers who work together to provide high-quality, ethical veterinary care.

Being independently owned is an important part of how the practice operates. Cam and Pam are actively involved in the hospital, and the team places a strong emphasis on kindness, respect and collaboration. Different skills and perspectives are valued, with ongoing professional development encouraged both within the practice and externally.

A modern, purpose-built hospital

The hospital has been designed to provide a calm, comfortable environment for patients, clients and the people working there. The practice has invested in modern equipment and in-house diagnostic capabilities, giving the team access to many of the tools they need to investigate and manage cases within the hospital.

Facilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, dental radiography and in-house pathology and blood testing. The practice provides a broad range of small animal services, including general medicine, preventative healthcare, dentistry, diagnostic imaging and soft tissue surgery.

This creates plenty of variety across the hospital, with clinical, nursing, reception and support teams all contributing to the care of patients and their owners.

A team-focused workplace

Tullamarine Animal Hospital places a strong emphasis on creating a workplace where people feel supported and respected. Cam and Pam work alongside the team, while two dedicated practice managers provide additional day-to-day guidance and support.

Learning and development are also encouraged, with both in-house and external professional development forming part of the practice’s approach. Team members come from a range of backgrounds and bring different areas of experience and interest to the hospital.

There’s a strong focus on working together, communicating openly and recognising the contribution each person makes. The practice also makes time to celebrate the people behind the work, including team milestones and birthdays.

Working in Tullamarine

Located in Melbourne’s north-west, Tullamarine offers easy access to surrounding suburbs and is well connected to the wider Melbourne metropolitan area.

For veterinary professionals looking for an independent practice where the owners remain closely involved, Tullamarine Animal Hospital combines a modern clinical environment with a genuine focus on teamwork, professional development, kindness and respect.
