Job Seekers

If you create a Job Seeker account or apply for a position through the Platform, we may collect personal information including:

  • résumé or curriculum vitae;
  • cover letter;
  • employment history;
  • education, qualifications and professional registrations;
  • licences and certifications;
  • referee details that you choose to provide;
  • salary expectations and employment preferences;
  • any documents or information you upload to your profile or include in a job application; and
  • any correspondence you send to us.

Employers

If you create an Employer account or advertise a position, we may collect personal information including:

  • your name;
  • position or job title;
  • business name;
  • business address;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • employer profile information;
  • company logos and images;
  • details of job advertisements you publish;
  • billing and subscription information; and
  • correspondence with Vetlink Jobs.

Payment card details are processed securely by our payment service providers. Vetlink Jobs does not store your complete payment card details.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • your IP address;
  • browser type and version;
  • operating system;
  • device information;
  • pages visited;
  • referring websites;
  • the date and time of your visit; and
  • information collected through cookies and similar technologies.

  • publish job advertisements and employer profiles;
  • facilitate communication between Employers and Job Seekers;

  • improve the performance, security and functionality of the Platform;
  • detect, prevent and investigate fraud, misuse or unauthorised access;

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for reporting, analytics and business improvement purposes. This information does not identify individual users.


3. How We Share Your Personal Information

We only disclose personal information where it is reasonably necessary to operate the Platform or where required by law.

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may disclose your personal information to:

  • Employers, where you apply for a position;
  • Job Seekers, where an Employer chooses to make contact in relation to a vacancy;
  • third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including website hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics and technical support providers;
  • our professional advisers, including accountants, auditors and legal advisers;
  • government authorities, regulators or law enforcement agencies where required or authorised by law; and
  • any other person or organisation where you have provided your consent or where disclosure is otherwise permitted by law.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Employers' Use of Applicant Information

Employers who receive Applications through the Platform are responsible for handling applicants' personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Personal information provided by Job Seekers must only be used for genuine recruitment and employment purposes.

Employers must not:

  • use applicant information for marketing purposes without the applicant's consent;
  • sell or disclose applicant information to unrelated third parties except where reasonably necessary for the recruitment process or required by law;
  • use applicant information for any purpose unrelated to the advertised position; or
  • otherwise misuse personal information obtained through the Platform.

Once an Employer has received an Application, the Employer becomes independently responsible for its handling of that information.


5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to help operate and improve the Platform.

Cookies may be used to:

  • remember your preferences and account settings;
  • maintain your login session;
  • improve website functionality;
  • understand how visitors use the Platform; and
  • analyse website performance and usage trends.

Most web browsers allow you to manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of the Platform.

Vetlink Jobs is intended primarily for people seeking employment and employers recruiting within the veterinary industry.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 16 years of age, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
