About Us
Port Phillip Animal Hospital is a busy small animal hospital in Albert Park, Melbourne. Established in 2006 by Drs Bec and Craig Goode, the hospital has grown into an experienced team of vets, veterinary nurses and dedicated reception staff, with Dr Emma Prideaux also part of the ownership team.
We offer a broad range of medical, diagnostic and surgical care, with facilities for in-house blood testing, X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy. Surgery is a particular strength of the hospital, with both advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures performed on site.
Our nurses are an important part of the clinical team and are encouraged to fully use their skills. On any given day, they may be assisting with surgery, performing and assisting with diagnostics including X-ray and ultrasound, running blood tests, caring for hospital patients, assisting with emergencies or treating injured wildlife. We value experienced, skilled nurses and the contribution they make to both patient care and the smooth running of the hospital.
We’re a friendly, close-knit team who enjoy working together, even when the hospital gets busy. Patient care is at the heart of what we do, but we also want our team to enjoy coming to work. Nurses are valued, supported and encouraged to continue developing their skills.
For veterinary professionals who enjoy the variety and relationships of general practice but also want plenty of hands-on clinical work, Port Phillip Animal Hospital combines the feel of a friendly local practice with an interesting medical and surgical caseload.
