Team
As a vital part of the clinical support team, GEOvet Vet Nurses play an important role in assisting veterinarians to deliver high-quality veterinary care and client services. Vet Nurses also work closely with the Reception team to ensure clients receive clear communication, compassionate support, and a positive experience when visiting the clinic.
Position
The primary purpose of the Veterinary Nurse role is to support and collaborate with the veterinary team through the provision of compassionate animal care, clinical assistance, and the completion of routine nursing and hospital duties. Veterinary Nurses contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic by assisting with patient care, surgical preparation and recovery, diagnostic procedures, and maintaining a safe and well-organised clinical environment.
Essential Requirements
- Current registration with the Veterinary Practice Board of Western Australia
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support and collaborate with the wider team
- Basic computer and clerical skills
- Experience in handling and restraining animals safely
- Knowledge of animal care, nursing procedures, and clinical practices
- Ability to follow veterinary instructions accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining workplace health and safety standards
