We are looking for an experienced veterinary nurse and/or receptionist to help support our current team at Quartz Veterinary Ultrasound. Established for over 5 years, we are a growing referral ultrasound service supporting veterinary clinics across Bendigo and central Victoria with our clients now extending into NSW. The role(s) would suit applicants who are looking to diversify their skill set and be part of an essential diagnostic imaging service for regional vets.
Certificate IV or higher qualification in veterinary nursing together with two years of experience in general practice is preferred. Experience in ultrasounds and diagnostic imaging is not essential as training will be provided in the role. The position(s) will initially be casual but could be made permanent part-time for the right person.
Main nursing duties will involve general patient care, preparation and holding patients during ultrasound procedures, transcribing measurements, monitoring patients post procedure, cleaning cages and washing. Reception duties involve responding to email or phone queries, communicating and liaising with referring vet clinics and their teams, organising admission and discharge appointments for patients, and confirming the weekly schedule. We currently operate every Friday from 8am to 5.30pm at our new clinic located in East Bendigo. Reception hours are flexible and would be suitable to working from home.
