A practice in Auckland has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced veterinary nurse or vet tech to join a fantastic team. This position has opened due to an internal promotion and offers the chance to help lead a passionate, supportive team delivering exceptional care.
This role is ideal for a vet nurse with strong leadership, organisational, and people skills. It would suit an experienced nurse who enjoys being hands-on with patients while also stepping into a broader clinic leadership position.
This role is full-time and will require 1 in 3 Saturday shifts.
As Clinic Coordinator, the successful applicant will play a key role in the smooth running of the clinic, supporting both the team and clients. Responsibilities will include:
- Hands-on veterinary nursing duties, including patient care, assisting in surgery, anaesthetic monitoring, and client education.
- Inspiring and supporting your team to deliver the highest standard of care.
- Overseeing daily clinic administration and retail operations.
- Mentoring and guiding junior staff and student nurses.
- Coordinating clinic workflow and scheduling.
- Maintaining high standards of client service and communication.
- Supporting a positive, engaged team culture.
- Developing an understanding of clinic financials and contributing to efficient, sustainable operations.
The clinic is well-equipped with Vetscan biochem and haematology, x-ray, dental x-ray, iM3 dental machine, sterile surgery and Vision computer software.
