Hi there! We are excited to offer a great opportunity for an experienced small animal veterinarian who is ready to take on a part-time role in an established modern veterinary clinic in central Victoria.

Ideally, you will have good surgical and diagnostic skills and be able to work within a diverse team. The opportunity to mentor younger vets is available. We support collegial relationships so no one feels isolated or that they have to make important clinical decisions alone. We promote a strong vet and vet nurse culture so that we approach animal care as a team.

We aim to provide a high standard of veterinary and client care, prioritising animals, people and the community we live in. Castlemaine is a thriving regional town 90 minutes by car to Melbourne. Castlemaine offers something for everyone: monthly farmers’ and artists’ markets, renowned bike tracks and park, goldfields walking tracks, proximity to the Hepburn and Daylesford spa country, vineyards, cideries, gin distilleries, lavender farms, the Castlemaine festival and fringe festival, and a choice of good schools, including alternative independent schools.

We offer a generous competitive salary and employee conditions. Additionally, we offer family-friendly flexibility. CPD is encouraged and an allowance is provided. Participation in the 1-in-4 after-hours roster is optional.
