Let's be honest...

People rarely walk into a veterinary hospital because they're having the best day ever.

Their puppy has eaten a sock. Their cat has disappeared for three days. Their elderly Labrador isn't quite himself. Sometimes they're excited. Sometimes they're worried. Occasionally they're convinced Google knows more than the vet.

That's why our reception team is so important.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys looking after people. Someone who can make a client feel welcome the moment they walk through the door, juggle a ringing phone with a waiting room full of pets, and somehow still remember the Golden Retriever's name before the owner's.

Veterinary reception experience would be fantastic, but it isn't essential. If you've built a career in hospitality, medical reception, customer service or another busy front-of-house role - and you're ready for the veterinary industry - we'd love to hear from you.

We'd love someone who:

Loves talking to people and making them feel genuinely welcome.
Keeps calm when things get busy (because they definitely will).
Has exceptional organisation and communication skills.
Enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
Can learn quickly and enjoys solving problems.
Has an eye for detail.
Doesn't mind occasionally being greeted by an overenthusiastic Labrador who believes personal space is optional.

We're building something special - a hospital known not only for excellent veterinary medicine but also for exceptional client service. Our new hospital is due to open at the end of 2026 and has a fantastic front-of-house design and experience for clients and staff.
