Vet Central Animal Hospital is an independent small animal hospital in Earlwood, on the border of Sydney’s inner west. Established in 2012, the purpose-built hospital cares for dogs, cats and rabbits and has developed around a clear focus on providing individualised veterinary care in a calm, well-managed environment.
For veterinary nurses and support staff, one of the distinguishing features of Vet Central is its smaller, closely connected team. The vets and nurses work together throughout the day, with an emphasis on teamwork, organisation and maintaining manageable caseloads. The practice has described its working environment as low stress, with the team focused on providing a high standard of service to clients while ensuring patients receive attentive, considered care.
This approach also comes through in the way the hospital is designed. Vet Central has separate consultation areas for dogs and cats, with the cat consultation room designed to provide a peaceful, relaxed environment. The hospital also includes its own operating theatre, preparation room, X-ray room, laboratory and pharmacy, as well as dedicated patient kennels.
