About Us
Sydney Animal Hospitals has been providing high-quality vet care to our local communities since 1990. We are an independent, locally owned and operated group of seven veterinary hospitals across Sydney. Established in 1990, our hospitals are located in Newtown, the Inner West, Norwest, Kellyville, Baulkham Hills, Newport and Avalon. Each hospital has its own managing partner, allowing our teams to remain connected with the communities they serve while benefiting from the knowledge, facilities and support of the wider SAH network.
As veterinary health professionals, we are dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their owners. We take a team approach to veterinary care, with a strong focus on preventive health and building genuine partnerships with pet owners. Our people share a desire to practise quality veterinary medicine, take responsibility for their patients and show leadership in small animal care.
Across the group, our hospitals provide comprehensive small animal care, from routine and preventive healthcare, dentistry and general surgery to emergency treatment, advanced diagnostics and more complex medical and surgical cases. Our facilities include in-house pathology, digital radiography, ultrasound and modern operating theatres, with visiting specialist surgeons contributing to advanced orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures. Particular services and equipment vary between hospitals, giving each location its own clinical strengths and character.
Our veterinarians, veterinary nurses, client care teams, practice managers and animal support staff work together throughout each patient’s care. Nurses are encouraged to use their clinical skills and take an active role in areas such as anaesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, dentistry, inpatient care and client communication. Veterinarians have access to experienced colleagues, a broad caseload, modern technology and the wider SAH referral network.
