About Us
Sunshine Vet is a family-owned and run small animal clinic in Melbourne’s inner west. We’ve been part of the Sunshine community since 1968 and, while the practice changed hands in 2023, we remain proudly family-owned with a strong connection to our local clients and their pets.
Our motto is “More Cuddles, Less Struggles”, which sums up an important part of how we approach veterinary care. We aim to make visits as low-stress as possible for our patients while providing the high standard of care their families expect. Excellence in care, consistency and compassion are central to the way we work, both with our patients and clients and within our team.
Our clinic may look modest from the outside, but there’s plenty happening behind the doors. We have a broad and varied general practice caseload and are particularly well equipped for a clinic of our size, with digital and dental radiography, IDEXX diagnostics, laser therapy and HT Vista among the equipment available to our clinical team.
Veterinary nurses play an active, hands-on role across the practice, including anaesthesia monitoring and surgical support, radiography, dental procedures, blood collection and catheter placement, inpatient care, assisting with consultations and client communication. We value nurses who want to keep developing their skills, with ongoing professional development and continuing education supported by the practice.
Just as importantly, we want Sunshine Vet to be a place where people enjoy coming to work. We’re a supportive, close-knit team who take our patient care seriously, help each other out and still make room for some fun along the way.
