About Us
We’re a family-owned small animal practice in the Adelaide Hills, established in 2016 by veterinarians Cammy and Michael Woodworth. Based on the main street of Nairne, just 10 minutes from Mount Barker, we’ve built our practice around providing expert veterinary care with family values.
Those values are a big part of who we are. Integrity, respect, loyalty, ambition, having fun, being constructive and treating each other as equals all matter to us. We want Nairne Vet to be a place where people enjoy coming to work, feel comfortable contributing their ideas and know that they’re an important part of the team.
Our vets and nurses bring a broad mix of experience and interests to the practice, including diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, pathology, anaesthesia, pocket pets and wildlife. We like our nurses to be involved in the clinical side of practice and have opportunities to use and continue developing their skills across different areas of the hospital.
We’re well equipped for a varied general practice caseload, with an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, anaesthetic monitoring, oxygen therapy and IV fluid pumps, along with dedicated treatment and surgical areas. Alongside everyday medical and surgical cases, we also manage urgent presentations during clinic hours, including critical care and snake bite cases.
While we take our medicine and patient care seriously, we don’t believe that means taking ourselves too seriously. We’re a friendly, down-to-earth bunch who enjoy working together, and there’s plenty of personality and humour within the team.
