AMRRIC

Animal Management in Rural and Remote Indigenous Communities (AMRRIC) is a national not-for-profit organisation based on Larrakia Land in Darwin. Guided by a One Health approach, AMRRIC works in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to improve the health and wellbeing of companion animals, people and communities across rural and remote Australia.

AMRRIC’s work brings together animal health programs, education and training, research and advocacy. Its programs are delivered in partnership with communities, with a strong focus on culturally responsive practice, animal welfare and meaningful, sustainable outcomes.

Team members have the opportunity to contribute to work that extends well beyond a traditional clinical setting, combining practical program delivery with community engagement and collaboration across diverse locations. Remote program delivery is an important part of AMRRIC’s work, offering the chance to build experience in unique environments while contributing to broader One Health outcomes.
