A full-time veterinary nurse with a minimum of Certificate IV or higher Veterinary Nursing qualification is required to work at our proudly family owned & operated independent, well-equipped, modern & progressive veterinary hospital in the south-eastern suburbs of Perth.
This position has come about due to the retirement of one of our long-standing nurses who has been with us for over 20 years.
With any shift you would be working alongside 3-5 experienced veterinarians and 5-6 experienced veterinary nurses.

Railway Avenue is a large, purpose built, modern hospital with three consulting rooms, separate sterile operating theatre, a spacious treatment room, separate dog, and cat wards, with large indoor runs for dogs, an isolation ward, separate euthanasia room, and separate radiology suite.

You will be working in a supportive and enjoyable team environment, alongside our 8 experienced vets, 5 qualified & experienced vet nurses and supportive & understanding management staff. A varied and interesting role of general practice nursing awaits you, where you will be able to build long lasting relationships with our valued and loyal clientele, along with your fellow dedicated & passionate team members.
We are looking for a dedicated & passionate vet nurse who enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets, is enthusiastic and confident, and works well in a team. A keen interest in general practice nursing is essential, as the position involves a variety of nursing roles & responsibilities, with us priding ourselves on practicing high quality veterinary medicine and performing an extensive range of surgery, including advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries.
We have 30-minute consults as standard, scheduled lunch breaks, an interesting and varied case load, and work hard to ensure that you will be an integral part of the team and have a voice in the continued development & success of the hospital.
Our hospital hours are Monday to Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 9am-4pm. We are closed on Sunday & public holidays.
There is no on-call, after hours, Sunday or public holiday work.
