Veterinary nurses are required to join a multidisciplinary specialist referral and emergency hospital in Perth's northern suburbs.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available across emergency and critical care, surgery and specialist services.
This is an opportunity to work alongside ECC clinicians, specialists and experienced nursing teams within a collaborative referral environment delivering high-level patient care across a diverse medical, surgical and emergency caseload.
Vet nurse shifts typically run from 8am to 6pm, with opportunities to work between two and four days per week. Surgical nurses may occasionally finish later depending on caseload requirements. ECC nursing shifts are generally 9am to 2pm and 5pm to 11pm. Overnight shifts may also be available.
The hospital is equipped with advanced imaging including MRI, CT and fluoroscopy, dedicated canine and feline intensive care units, advanced in-house diagnostics, ventilatory support and a blood bank, allowing nurses to work with a broad range of cases and advanced procedures.
Nursing duties may include patient care, anaesthetic monitoring, surgical nursing, emergency triage, critical care nursing, admissions and discharges, client communication, inpatient management and supporting specialist and emergency clinicians across a range of disciplines.
The team places a strong emphasis on collaboration, communication and professional development, with regular case discussions and opportunities for ongoing learning across multiple specialty areas.
Suitable candidates should have veterinary nursing experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, kindness and high standards of patient care are highly valued.
Perth offers an enviable lifestyle with beautiful beaches, abundant sunshine and easy access to outdoor recreation throughout the year. With a relaxed pace of life, short commute times and excellent dining, entertainment and travel opportunities, Perth provides an outstanding balance between a rewarding nursing career and an exceptional lifestyle outside of work.
