Warrawong Vets

Warrawong Vets has been caring for pets in the Illawarra since 1980. We’re a friendly, relaxed team who genuinely enjoy working together, while still taking a lot of pride in providing a high standard of veterinary care.

There’s plenty of experience within our team, with long-standing staff across both the veterinary and nursing sides of the practice. We value people who are kind, reliable, communicate well and want to be part of the practice. People help each other out here, have a laugh and care about what they do.

There’s plenty of variety in the clinical work too. Our hospital provides a broad range of general practice medicine and surgery, with in-house pathology, radiography, dentistry and a sterile surgical theatre. For more complex procedures, we also work with visiting surgical specialists, allowing some patients to receive advanced surgical care right here at the hospital.

Our nurses play an active clinical role, with involvement in surgical and anaesthetic nursing, dental procedures and dental radiography, hospital and inpatient care, pathology, nurse consultations, admissions and discharges. They also work alongside our vets in consults and spend time helping clients understand their pets’ care.

We’re proud of the care we provide, but we don’t think work needs to feel overly serious or formal all the time. We like working with people who pitch in, help their teammates and enjoy being part of the practice, not simply coming in to do a shift.
