The Fur Dental is a specialist pet dental hygiene service providing non-sedation teeth cleaning for dogs and cats across several Sydney locations. Our services are delivered by qualified veterinary nurses who undertake extensive training in non-sedation scaling, polishing and laser treatment.
Our approach is centred around making dental cleaning as calm and comfortable as possible for each pet. We take time to build trust before introducing instruments and work at the individual animal’s pace throughout the session. Dental cleaning includes the removal of plaque, tartar and calculus, brushing and polishing, cold laser treatment and a detailed Pet Report Card for the owner.
Working at The Fur Dental offers veterinary nurses the opportunity to use their existing animal handling and patient care skills in a different environment while developing specialised skills in pet dental hygiene. Our team works with both dogs and cats, with a strong emphasis on gentle handling, patience and reading each individual animal’s behaviour.
The Fur Dental currently operates from locations in Mosman, Balgowlah and Queens Park, with a home visit service also available around Mosman. The business forms part of the wider pet care offering founded by Anneke van den Broek, founder of Australian pet care brand Rufus & Coco and The Fur Salon.
