About Us
Terrey Hills Animal Hospital is a mixed animal practice in the semi-rural suburb of Terrey Hills in northern Sydney, with a wonderfully varied caseload that reflects its location. Alongside dogs and cats, we care for horses, birds, pocket pets and farm animals including sheep, goats, alpacas and poultry, so you never quite know who might be coming through the door.
We’ve been part of the local community for many years, and that sense of connection is an important part of the practice. Our approach is built around care, curiosity and accountability, with an emphasis on getting to know our clients, educating them and helping them make informed decisions about their animals.
The clinical work is genuinely diverse. In addition to everyday small animal medicine and preventative healthcare, the hospital provides dentistry, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and care for exotic pets. Our equine and farm animal work takes the team beyond the clinic as well, with on-property consultations and treatment throughout the surrounding area. We also care for injured and rescued wildlife.
Cats have their own purpose-built area within the hospital, including a separate waiting area, feline consultation rooms and a dedicated cat ward. Low-stress handling is an important part of the way we care for feline patients, creating a quieter environment away from dogs.
Our team includes veterinarians with interests and experience spanning small animal medicine, surgery, ultrasonography, equine and farm animal work, alongside an experienced nursing and client care team. Continuing education is encouraged, and members of our nursing team have pursued further training in areas including anaesthesia, nurse consultations, animal behaviour, nutrition, dentistry and exotic animal nursing.
The variety is a big part of what makes Terrey Hills different. A consultation might take place inside the hospital, outside on the lawn with an anxious patient or out on a property with a horse, goat, sheep or cow.
