About Us
Leopold Pet Hospital is an independent veterinary practice located just outside Geelong on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula. We’ve been part of the local community for many years, caring for thousands of pets and building long-standing relationships with their owners.
We’re primarily a small animal practice, although over the years our patients have included everything from cats and dogs to rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and even the occasional snake. We aim to provide modern, professional veterinary care while maintaining a friendly, personal approach that helps both pets and their owners feel comfortable when they visit us.
Our hospital is equipped to manage a broad range of medical and surgical cases. We have fully equipped consulting rooms, in-house diagnostic and pathology capabilities, radiography and ultrasound, along with facilities for dentistry and surgery. Our surgical caseload includes routine procedures as well as soft tissue, orthopaedic and ophthalmic surgery, with specialist procedures also performed in-house.
Our nurses are closely involved in patient care throughout the hospital, including surgical preparation and anaesthetic monitoring, hospital care, pathology sample collection, diagnostic procedures, client education and reception. We value nurses who take pride in providing a high standard of care while also being willing to pitch in wherever they’re needed.
Just as importantly, we want Leopold Pet Hospital to be an enjoyable place to work. We value honesty, reliability, a positive attitude and people who genuinely work well as part of a team. Continuing to learn is encouraged, but so is having a life outside work. Our current team describes the environment simply as fun and friendly, and maintaining a good work-life balance is something we genuinely value.
