About Us
Fraser Coast Veterinary Services is a small animal practice on Queensland’s Fraser Coast, with Walker Street Veterinary Surgery in Maryborough and a branch clinic in Howard. We’re an experienced, close-knit team and have built strong connections with the local community over many years.
Our Maryborough hospital offers a varied small animal caseload, from preventative healthcare and dentistry through to medical investigations, emergency cases and surgery. The team also undertakes more complex procedures, including cruciate repairs, fracture management and soft tissue reconstruction.
The hospital is well equipped, with digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, tonometry and advanced anaesthetic monitoring. We also have comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities, including biochemistry, haematology, coagulation testing, cytology and urinalysis, giving our clinical team access to a broad range of diagnostic tools within the practice.
Our veterinary nurses play an important hands-on role within the clinical team, with a strong focus on maintaining high nursing standards, particularly around surgical nursing. We value nurses who enjoy working collaboratively, sharing their knowledge and helping less experienced team members continue to develop their skills.
Teamwork is an important part of how we operate. We aim to create a workplace where people feel valued, heard and supported, with experienced team members working together to provide a high standard of care for our patients and clients.
As part of Apiam Animal Health, our team also has access to the resources, professional development and wider support of a large national veterinary network, while continuing to work within an established local practice with strong connections to the Fraser Coast community.
