Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital is an established small animal veterinary hospital in Sydney’s Inner West. We’ve been caring for pets in the local community since 1998, providing general practice veterinary care for dogs and cats from Drummoyne and surrounding suburbs. Our work ranges from preventative healthcare and consultations through to medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging and emergency cases during hospital hours.
Our hospital is modern and well equipped, giving our team the facilities to manage a broad range of cases in-house. These include digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house pathology, a dedicated surgical theatre and a separate area for dental and other non-sterile procedures. Anaesthetic patients are monitored by experienced veterinary nurses and veterinarians using equipment including Doppler, pulse oximetry and ECG monitoring. Visiting specialists also perform selected ultrasound procedures and more complex surgeries within the hospital.
Veterinary nurses are an important part of the clinical team at Drummoyne. Nursing involvement extends beyond assisting the vets, with opportunities to use clinical skills across patient care, surgery, anaesthesia and hospital work. Experienced nurses also run our weight management clinic, providing consultations and ongoing support to clients and their pets.
We have an established nursing team with a mix of experience and clinical interests. Our head nurse has been part of the hospital for more than a decade, while other members of the nursing team have grown their careers with the practice over several years. Team members bring particular interests in areas including surgery, anaesthesia, patient comfort and further veterinary study, creating an environment where nurses can learn from one another and continue building their skills.

Our vets work collaboratively with the nursing team, and professional development is encouraged and supported.
The variety of work also extends beyond everyday consultations. The hospital provides dentistry, diagnostic imaging, surgery, behavioural services, senior pet care and cat boarding, and works with wildlife organisations to assist injured native animals where possible. More specialised cases can be referred to nearby specialist hospitals when they require services or 24-hour care beyond what can be provided in general practice.
