Attadale Veterinary Hospital

About Us

Attadale Veterinary Hospital offers the personal feel of a small, close-knit practice alongside the facilities and clinical scope of a modern small animal hospital. Based in Attadale in Perth’s southern suburbs, the team provides veterinary care for dogs, cats and other small animals, with services extending from everyday preventative healthcare and general medicine through to diagnostics, dentistry and surgery.

For veterinary nurses who enjoy variety and being involved across different areas of the hospital, this is a practice where the nursing role can cover much more than one part of the patient journey. Nurses work alongside the veterinary team with surgical and anaesthetic nursing, hospital patient care and monitoring, consultation support, diagnostic and laboratory procedures, client communication and the care of medical and surgical patients.

The hospital has been newly renovated and is purpose-built, with modern facilities designed to support both patient care and the day-to-day work of the clinical team. Its current recruitment information highlights IDEXX in-house pathology and EzyVet practice software, while the hospital also offers digital radiography and ultrasound for diagnostic investigations.

The clinical workload encompasses routine and more involved cases. Attadale Veterinary Hospital provides general consultations and medicine, dental care, pathology and diagnostic imaging, along with both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Its soft tissue surgical work includes procedures ranging from desexing and lump removals to gastrointestinal foreign body surgery, bladder stone removal, trauma repair and biopsies.

Orthopaedic services are also available, including TPLO surgery for cranial cruciate ligament disease. For nurses with an interest in surgery, anaesthesia and inpatient recovery, this broader surgical capability adds another dimension to the work available within a general practice environment.

Attadale’s services extend beyond the hospital itself. The practice offers house-call veterinary care for services including health checks, vaccinations, blood tests, chronic pain management, post-operative checks and end-of-life care. It also provides services such as cat boarding and puppy school.
